San Myshuno is a diverse, exciting city, full of interesting things for your Sims to explore. On November 1, 2016, City Living brings an entire new city to The Sims 4. That said, some careers, such as the Internet Personality career, are more convenient to be done at home.Experience a new city, find your perfect apartment, and explore new activities in the City Living expansion pack for The Sims 4.
However, the fewer you do, the greater damage you'll do to your work performance, and that can lead to demotion or termination. You will never be directly fired for ignoring your task.
You are not required to perform the daily task, however. That means if you're working from home in Willow Springs, you may have to make the trip to San Myshuno if you want to do the daily task. These requirements are always around the San Myshuno districts regardless of where you live. For example, in the Politics career track, you may need to go out and speak with protesters. Note that some work-from-home requirements are not actually at home. Be sure to own a reliable computer and work on your Handiness Skill to ensure you can keep working from home.
If you work from home you'll be asked to perform certain tasks generally on a computer. A given job's requirements change depending on whether you're working from home or working conventionally. When you make your choice, be sure to keep an eye on the Career Panel.
